RÉSUMÉ
A thin cylindrical shell with a regular orthogonal system of stiffeners (stringers and frames) is excited by a point impulse. The shell and parameters of stiffeners correspond to the fuselage of a small passenger airplane. The calculation is performed using an analytic method, developed in the Acoustic Department of the Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute (TsAGI). The videos, demonstrated in this paper, illustrate the necessity of a correct accounting for discrete properties of stiffeners under such an excitation. The video data show that the orthogonally strengthened shell can be excited in completely different ways depending on the impulse application point.
