RÉSUMÉ

The results of experimental studies of spectral portraits of propeller-driven fixed-wing and turbojet aircraft are examined. The spectral portraits characterize "secondary" modulation of a signal reflected from rotating elements of the aircraft construction (blades of propellers of propeller-driven fixed-wing aircraft, blades of the compressor and the engine turbine of turbojet aircraft). Spectral portraits can be used for the recognition of aerodynamic object class (type).
