RÉSUMÉ

The paper is concerned with the problem of correct and efficient truncation of computational domain in finite-difference methods used for analysis of transient processes in infinite two-dimensional regions with compact resonance inhomogeneities. The basis for the approach suggested is formulation of the "exact" absorbing conditions in the Cartesian coordinates and incorporation of them into a computational algorithm.
