RÉSUMÉ

A general mathematical model of energy transmission by a microwave beam is derived, taking into account not only the size and separation of the antennas and the operating wavelength but also their possible misalignment. The model is convenient for mathematical calculations and allows system analysis and optimization with a variety of values of its parameters. The model has been applied to study the effect of transmit and receive aperture misalignment on the efficiency of energy interception in the system.
