RÉSUMÉ

The problems of evaluation of the image recognition quality in terms of applying structural methods are addressed. The similarity matrice between the descriptions of objects for a finite base of images as the basic source of criterion formation is suggested. An approach to optimizing the proposed criteria is discussed. The results of experiments on calculating the probability of correct recognition are examined.
