Sinopsis

In the separated and reattachment flow, heat transfer coefficient increases around the reattachment region. Although many researchers have studied fluidic and thermal fluctuations near the reattachment point, the correspondence between unsteady fluidic and thermal behaviors is not fully understood. Therefore, it requires simultaneous measurement of fluidic and thermal fields to clarify the unsteady behavior in the reattachment region. The aim of this paper is to develop the simultaneous measurement system using PIV and infrared thermograph in order to investigate the unsteady fluidic and thermal behavior in the separated and reattachment flow behind a backward facing step.
