Turbulent transport in the interface region of porous layer

Sinopsis

To reveal the turbulent transport process around the permeable porous wall, a direct numerical simulation (DNS) of a turbulent porous-walled channel fl w whose bottom wall is made of a porous layer is performed by the D3Q27 multiple relaxation time lattice Boltzmann method. The porous medium structure presently considered consists of staggered cube arrays and the bulk Reynolds number is 3000. Using the simulation results, statistical features of turbulent transport processes are discussed.
