Sinopsis

The paper presents the simulation and analysis of the real steam line break transient at Thermal Power Plant: Drmno.
By action of protection systems and rapid systems depressurization, the intensive pressure waves have been generated and propagated through the system, causing high hydraulic forces on structure.
The simulation of these transients have been performed by computer code (TEA-01), developed and validated for fast thermal-hydraulic transients. Numerical results have been compared with plant processing data for three distinct time periods.
