The fluid is electrically conducting under the influence of a uniform transverse magnetic field and occupies the porous space between two side walls perpendicular to a plane wall. The exact analytical solutions for the velocity and tangential stress fields are obtained by using the Fourier sine and Laplace transforms. The corresponding solutions for the hydrodynamic flow as well as those in the absence of the porous space appear as limiting cases. Moreover, in the absence of the side walls, all solutions reduce to the solutions corresponding to the motion over an infinite plate. Several graphs are sketched to display the effects of various emerging parameters in the presence as well as in the absence of the side walls. In addition, a comparison among different fluids models is provided. PB Begell House LK https://www.dl.begellhouse.com/journals/49dcde6d4c0809db,69cb9f9c2a8eb0bd,0d821e2a31700d19.html
