%X In early spring of 2015, in the northwestern part of the Black Sea (Ukraine, Odessa Bay, Big Fountain Cape) the brown alga Chorda tomentosa Lyngb. 1819 was found. This kelp is a new invader in the Black Sea and the sole representative of the order of Laminariales Mig. 1909 in this area.
