A1 Ramirez-Guillén, Florencia T1 New Hallucinogenic Mushrooms in Mexico Belonging to the Genus Psilocybe (Basidiomycotina, Agaricales, Strophariaceae) JF International Journal of Medicinal Mushrooms JO IJM YR 2004 FD 2004-10-27 VO 6 IS 3 OP 12 AB Five Mexican hallucinogenic fungi: Psilocybe chaconii, P. mesophylla, P. oaxacana, P.pileocystidiata, and P. singularis, are described as new species. They were gathered in the States of Oaxaca (three) and Veracruz (two). With these five new species, there are almost 50 known hallucinogenic species of Psilocybe in Mexico, the country with the highest number of hallucinogenic mushrooms in the world.
