AB Five Mexican hallucinogenic fungi: <i>Psilocybe chaconii, P. mesophylla, P. oaxacana, P.pileocystidiata,</i> and <i>P. singularis,</i> are described as new species. They were gathered in the States of Oaxaca (three) and Veracruz (two). With these five new species, there are almost 50 known hallucinogenic species of <i>Psilocybe</i> in Mexico, the country with the highest number of hallucinogenic mushrooms in the world.
