Fatty Acids of Total Lipids of Genus Cystoseira C. Agardh Species (Phaeophyta) (Black Sea, Crimea)
SINOPSIS
The fatty acid composition of total lipids was investigated in estuary and marine populations of Cystoseira barbata (Gooden. et Woodw.) C. Agardh, and marine population of C. crinita (Desf.) Bory. It was revealed that the fatty acid composition and ratio are species-specific. A wider adaptation to environmental conditions in C. barbata, compared with C. crinita, is provided by increased synthesis of both unsaturated fatty acids and acids making sulfolipids.
