SINOPSIS
The design of the investigated jet-swirl atomizers with swirling grooves, the scope of the experimental investigations, and the test stand for conducting these investigations, as well as the measurement results, on the basis of which the flow characteristics of this type of atomizers were determined, are presented. The relationships between the coefficient c of the flow characteristics and the modified geometric factor that comprises the parameters describing the design of the whole atomizer (a body and an insert), Kg', or only its body, Kk', are given.
