SURFACE TEMPERATURE EFFECT ON FLOW NEAR THE DELTA WING AT THE REGIME OF STRONG INTERACTION
SINOPSIS
The temperature effect on the flow characteristics and structure in a spatial boundary layer on a delta wing with sharp leading edges at hypersonic flight speeds is investigated. The regime of strong viscous-inviscid boundary-layer interaction with the external inviscid flow on a semi-infinite wing with an extension of the order of unity is considered. The change in the thickness of the wing in the transverse direction has a power character. The effect of the parameter characterizing the ratio of the wing thickness to the boundary-layer characteristic thickness on local characteristics of the flow and aerodynamic coefficients is studied. The results of numerical calculation of the boundary-layer flow characteristics both in the supercritical and the subcritical flow regions are presented.
