Experimental Investigation of the Characteristic Features of Heat Propagation from a Point Source in a Supercritical Liquid
SINOPSIS
The results of the experiments carried out on board the Space Station "Mir" by means of Alice-2 equipment and in terrestrial conditions by means of a measuring-calculating complex used to investigate flows of a near-critical liquid and developed based on the Alice-1 equipment are presented. The influence of gravitation, microaccelerations, and controlled vibrations on the process of heat transfer inside a cell with the liquid at near-critical parameters is analyzed. Various regimes of heat propagation depending on the character of external effects have been found. The values of heat transfer coefficient have been found and the dependence of the Nusselt number on the vibration Froude and Reynolds numbers at different departures of the initial temperature in the cell from the critical value has been constructed.
