Methods for Calculating the Process of Chemisorption in Systems with a Moving Front of an Instantaneous Irreversible Reaction
SINOPSIS
In this work we suggest the methods for calculating the chemisorption process with a moving reaction front, given the effect of physico-chemical characteristics on the velocity of reaction front movement, concentration of the reaction product, and concentration of the caught component. As a result of computations we obtained an expression for calculating the time for formation of the moving front of the instantaneous chemical reaction; specified the initial stage of chemisorption with the moving reaction front; determined characteristic times and depths of penetration of the caught component, and evaluated the applicability ranges of a film model; developed the methods for calculating the coefficients of absorption acceleration and found the model parameters depending on the ratio of the coefficients of diffusion of the caught component, active component of the absorbent, and the reaction product.
