STUDY ON THE VARIATION LAW OF ISOSTERIC HEAT OF ADSORPTION OF CH4 ON THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF KEROGEN
SINOPSIS
In order to investigate the adsorption capacity of CH4 on the different types of kerogen, the paper used the thermodynamic theory and improved Dubinin−Astakhov (D-A) equation [Dubinin and Astakhov, Bull. Acad. Sci. USSR, Div. Chem. Sci, vol. 20, no. 1, pp. 3−7,1971] to build calculation models of the isosteric heat of adsorption. Based on adsorption isothermal experiments, the study object of this work is the different types of kerogen. Then the variation law of isosteric heat of adsorption of CH4 on the different types of kerogen was investigated. The results show that by combining the D-A adsorption model with the adsorption characteristic curve, the improved D-A adsorption model was deduced. The improved D-A adsorption model fits well with the adsorption data, and the average relative error is less than 4.42%. The initial isosteric heat of adsorption reflects the intermolecular force between CH4 and kerogen, which increased with increasing the adsorption volume, which reflects the energetically heterogeneous surface of different types of kerogen. The intermolecular force between CH4 and kerogen from large to small in order was type III, type II, type I, which may be related to the chemical construction of different types of kerogen.
