SINOPSIS

Nematodes of the Stryzhen River (the Dnieper River basin) has been investigated. Fauna is presented by 30 species of nine orders. Maximal species number belonged to Tylenchida, Rhabditida and Monhysterida. The average number of nematodes in silt samples was 114,567 specimens/m2. The most abundant in the Stryzhen River were Tobrilus gracilis, Dorylaimus stagnalis, Eumonhystera vulgaris and Monhystrella macrura.
