SINOPSIS

Capability of higher aquatic plants to intensify the processes of water quality restoration using wetland constructions for surface water and wastewater purification is discussed. The ability of plants to facilitate sedimentation of suspended matter, to utilize nitrogen, phosphorus and other substances, and to maintain symbiotic relationships with aquatic organisms are estimated.
