Daily Fluctuations in the Composition of Dissolved Organic Matter of Cultural Media of Algae and Cyanobacteria

Daily dynamics of the composition of dissolved organic matter of cultural media of some species of Cyanobacteria and algae were studied at different stages of their growth. It has been found that daily fluctuations in the composition of dissolved organic matter of cultural media of phototrophic organisms were conditioned by their physiological activity. The most clear-cut fluctuations were registered during the exponential phase of culture growth. The content of the main components of dissolved organic matter of cultural media of Cyanobacteria and algae changed not only during the whole period of their growth, but also during a day. In this case, the intensity of the main physiological processes also changed. The most significant daily fluctuations were registered in the composition of carbonic acids and phenols.
