Deformation and Energetic Tests for Optimization of Residual Stresses in Shells

SINOPSIS

An energy test for optimizing residual stresses in anisotropic bodies and shells is proposed on the basis of introducing an energetic norm in the deformation space. The deformation test by Yu. I. Nyashin was formulated for shells. The optimization problem of residual stresses in a welding rod system is considered as an example.
