SINOPSIS
This paper describes pyrotechnic compositions as base bleed propellant for increasing the range of projectile.
The wind tunnel test, the dynamic simulation test, the live projectile flight test are carried out with Sr (NO3 )2-Mg-CaRes(calcium resin) and Sr(NO3 )2-Mg-NH4ClO4 additives as a center, and better results are obtained. The paper shows that it is feasible and prospective to use pyrotechnic compositions as base bleed propellant.
