Model of Visual Detection of Moving Space-Extended Objects against Nonuniform Backgrounds

SINOPSIS

The study considers the problem of determination of laws of influence of nonuniform background characteristics, object texture, as well as parameters of motion of the object and an observer on visual detection of space-extended objects shading a background. A mathematical model of a process of visual detection of moving space-extended objects against nonuniform backgrounds is offered in conception of the process of visual perception based on the theory of optimum detection.
