On one Approach to the Solution of the Problem of Wave Scattering from a Collection of Strips

SINOPSIS

E-polarized plane wave scattering on the system of N noncoplanar strips is reduced to a set of singular integral equations of the first kind. An approach is developed that results in a set of integral equations of the second kind which is more convenient both for the application of numerical methods and for deriving the asymptotic solutions. Asimptotic expressions for the surface density of electric-current on the strips completing mathematical solution of the formulated problem in long-wave approximation are given. These expressions permit a limit transition to a single strip that enables one to carry out a comparison with known classical results. Obtained formulas can be directly used for investigation of the mutual influence of separate strips in the system and for calculation of other characteristics.
