ABSTRAKT

The scope of the paper is to present a theory of deposition of inertia particles from turbulent near-wall flows, which are based on the similarity and dimensional arguments and the method of the matched asymptotic expansions coupled with the statistical model of particle transport in turbulent fluid. Extension of the traditional two-layer model of wall turbulence to the monodisperse gas-particle flows gives the general functional dependencies and similarity laws for the near-wall particle concentration and particle Reynolds stresses. Similarity laws are derived for the particle deposition velocity in the diffusion-impaction and inertia-moderated regimes. The wall functions for the RANS modeling of particle-laden turbulent flows are proposed on the base of the presented theory and the statistical model of the turbulent particle transport (Zaichik, 1999).
