ABSTRAKT
Comparative calculations are performed for the reflooding process after a cold line break in a PWR. It turns out that the maximum cladding temperature of an average fuel rod can be lowered by about 100 K if direct steam flow to the leak through vent valves is made possible. Other parameter changes are of minor importance in this case.
