T1 Equations of Turbulent Gas/Solids Flow JF International Journal of Fluid Mechanics Research JO FMR YR 2000 FD 2000-02-01 VO 27 IS 1 SP 43 OP 55 AB Probabilistically-averaged differential equations describing gas/solids suspensions as a turbulent thermodynamic medium are derived. The feasibility of employing the mathematical tools of the theory of generalized function for deriving this kind of equations is demonstrated. It is shown that the formula for differentiating an integral taken over a moving volume of the suspension is invariant under transition from ordinary to generalized derivatives.
