An HF Doppler radar was used for ionospheric sounding. Doppler spectra are analyzed for the day of a solar eclipse occurred on August 1, 2008 and for days characterized by background ionospheric conditions. Statistics of the Doppler spectra and parameters of the turbulent ionosphere are estimated. The solar eclipse is shown to produce considerable perturbations in the ionosphere. %8 2010-10-15
