At this concentration, the toxicant did not increased the malonic dialdehyde content in all but one examined tissues (excluding blood). The exposure to ammonia increased the activity of NADP+-dependent LPO system, while the Fe2+-ascorbic acid-dependent and spontaneous peroxidation were prevalent in control fishes. The role of the LPO systems in adaptive structural reorganization of membrane lipids in ammonia intoxication is discussed. %8 1998-10-01
