AB With the thermal interface resistances being considered, a two-dimensional FE model for MoSi2 multi-layer coating under thermal loading is developed. With this model the temperature field and thermal stress field of multi-layer coating are obtained and further discussion is performed. The results show that (1) during the heating and cooling processes, higher stress and strain locate at the interfaces, and the peak value locates at the interface between ZrO2 and MoSi2; (2) during both the heating and cooling processes, when a MoSi2 layer DD3-NiCrCoY-ZrO2-MoSi2 is substituted with (80%MoSi2 + 20%ZrO2), the peak value of stress and strain drops gradually; when a new Al2O3 layer is added, namely, DD3-NiCrCoY-ZrO2-Al2O3, the peak value of stress and strain decreases further.
