%X Results of acute tests demonstrated that colloid sulfur is practically non-toxic for crustaceans Daphnia magna, Moina macrocopa, and Ceriodaphnia affinis. In experiments with sulfur at the temperature 22°C, a significant decrease in oxygen content was observed. In chronic experiments with 250 and 500 mg/L of sulfur concentrations, the reduction of daphnia survival time and fertility was detected in comparison to the control by 55% and 80%, respectively. At 10–100 mg/L these indices were on the control level.
