ABSTRAKT
The acoustic radiation of a turbulent boundary layer is analyzed by employing a quadrupole model of hydrodynamic sources. The acoustic model of the turbulent boundary layer is defined by means of data on the wave-frequency spectrum of pressure fluctuations at the wall at wave numbers k > k0. A numerical estimate of the far-field acoustic pressure spectrum is given and is compared with published analytic and experimental data.
