ABSTRAKT
A n image processing system to analyze photographs produced during liquid fuel atomization studies has been developed and tested by analyzing photographs of high velocity fuel jets produced by diesel nozzle. Characteristics of the system are reported, and results of the application of image processing procedures on high velocity jets are shown. The quality of photographs is improved, and an objective interpretation of particulars in the image is provided. The system described in this work represents a powerful tool for studying photographs produced in different experimental conditions.
