A two-phase model is applied to investigate nanofluid flow and heat transfer in a rotating system consisting of two contracting or expanding rotating disks. Brownian motion and thermophoretic effects are considered. The governing equations are solved numerically via the fourth-order Runge-Kutta method. The effects of expansion ratio, permeability Reynolds number, rotational Reynolds number, angular velocity ratio, thermophoretic parameter, Brownian motion parameter and Schmidt number on the velocity, temperature and the concentration profiles are considered. It is found that the thermal boundary layer thickness increases with increases in the effects of rotational Reynolds number, expansion ratio, thermophoretic parameter and the Brownian motion parameter while it increases with increases in the permeability Reynolds number and the angular velocity ratio.
