ABSTRAKT

A class of variables revealing a property of similarity of the translational-nonequilibrium flow in two-dimensional hypersonic shock layer (which is described by a thin-layer version of the kinetic 13-moment Gred equations) to the equilibrium flow in Navier–Stokes thin shock layer near nonthin bodies is defined. The essence of similarity consists in the fact that during the problem statement in the proposed variables one (main) part of the components of the kinetic problem solution coincides with the solution of the problem for a thin shock layer in Navier–Stokes approximation. Another part of the components of the solution for the kinetic shock layer is related to the corresponding components of the mentioned Navier–Stokes solution through a certain analytic function. The described similarity allows us to substitute analysis of the new complex nonequilibrium kinetic problem with analysis of the well-studied equivalent equilibrium problem.
