Condensation Heat Transfer on Noncircular Pipes in Stationary Vapor
ABSTRAKT
There is a mathematical model for condensation heat transfer on noncircular horizontal tubes with optional cross-section profile. This model is developed taking into account the surface tension force. In this report, we present calculations for local and medium condensate-film thickness and average condensation heat transfer rate for three types of smooth horizontal tubes. The conditions to optimize the cross-section form are determined. These conditions are connected with condensate-film thickness allocation on the condensation surface. In addition, geometric restrictions on the form of these profiles are presented.
