ABSTRAKT
Species composition and structure of taxocenosis of Chironomidae larvae have been studied in the coastal zone of the west edge of south basin of Baikal. 18 taxa of Chironomid larvae of three sub-families were registered: Diamesinae (1), Orthocladiinae (10), Chironominae (7). Using method of principal components it was stated that the main factors to determine peculiarities of their spatial distribution were bottom currents, depth and composition of bottom sediments.
