THICKNESS DEPENDENCES OF HIGH-FREQUENCY MAGNETIC HYSTERESIS PROPERTIES IN SINGLE-CRYSTAL BARIUM HEXAFERRITE
ABSTRAKT
The properties of hysteresis of ferro-magnetic resonance frequency-field dependence of barium-hexaferrite samples have been the subject for study. The main objective is to investigate experimentally features of high-frequency magnetic hysteresis in a wide range of thickness of samples.
The experimental investigation has been carried out using the EHF-spectroscopy technique. In order to obtain a cylindrical domain structure the field method is used.
It has been found that in thick samples (more than 100 μm) the transition to a saturated (single-domain) state occurs at lower values of the external magnetic field Hs, moreover, the thickness dependence of this field is close to the linear one. Furthermore, a similar dependence is observed for the field Hbr, when the sample turns into a multi-domain state. At the same time, there is no a clear dependence of the hysteresis value as the thickness of the samples changes.
The shift of the frequency-field dependence of the ferromagnetic resonance into the high-frequency region under the saturated state of thick barium-hexaferrite samples is observed. It has been found that each sample can be characterized by some average value of hysteresis, which is different from the others.
