摘要

The critical deposition velocity delineates depositing and non-depositing solid-liquid multiphase flows. A three-parameter functional form for this important flow property is proposed that includes a dependence on the material properties and concentration of the solid-phase particles and explicitly captures the observed behaviour at low volume fractions. A novel method for measuring the critical deposition velocity is described, and the resulting expressions for the critical deposition velocity are combined with, and compare well to, data from the literature.
