摘要

Nodal integral method has been applied to the one-dimensional, moving boundary phase change problem with time-dependent boundary conditions. Using recently proposed modification to the conventional nodal integral method, our application of the nodal method to this nonlinear problem shows that it predicts the position of the moving boundary and the temperature distribution within the domain quite accurately. For simple problems it is found that a single computational node in the domain yields more accurate results than multiple nodes. Comparison of numerical results with reference solutions is presented.
