摘要

Storages of liquefied gases are often the seat of natural convection movements due for instance to external heat supply by the walls or refilling the storage tank with products having a slightly different composition than the original stored matter which may cause temperature and/or density gradients inside the storage. These movements generally tend to produce some equilibrium state either by completely mixing the fluid or by stratification.
It may be important to evaluate these natural convection movements in order to foresee what the evolution of the storage will be.
This paper describes an original method for measuring low velocities movements in liquefied gases based on the observation of temperature fluctuations in the fluid.
