%X Heat transfer and friction for a turbulent air flow in an annulus with indented inner wall are studied. The inner wall is uniformly heated and the outer wall is insulated. It is shown that for wall-to-bulk temperature ratios greater than 1.15 the Nusselt number is independent of the above parameter. Heat transfer and friction factors are 60 and 35% higher than those in a smooth channel, respectively.
