MODELING OF THE LAMINAR−TURBULENT TRANSITION BASED ON THE NUMERICAL SOLUTIONS OF UNSTEADY NAVIER−STOKES EQUATIONS

摘要
This work considers the application of the scale-adaptive simulation method for calculation of the laminar–turbulent transition on the surface of a straight wing tested in a low-turbulence T-124 wind tunnel at TsAGI. The simulation results for the laminar–turbulent position on the wing obtained by means of various numerical techniques are compared with the experimental data. It is shown that using the unsteady simulation mode yields the best convergence of the solution by the skin friction coefficient.
