摘要

The effect of installing additional pairs of dummy support brackets at different span locations on the measured longitudinal aerodynamic characteristics in a wind tunnel is evaluated. The influence of dummy support brackets on the flow field over the model surface at different angles of attack is also investigated using the technique of oil dots. It is shown that the support brackets induce vortices, which travel from the lower to the upper wing surface with the increasing angle of attack altering the flow field.
