TWO PROBLEMS OF RIGID BODY MECHANICS

摘要

A geometric structure representing a multi-dimensional rectangular pyramid is built. The structure unifies two problems of rigid body mechanics, namely, the inverse problem of mass geometry and the description of fundamental oscillations in the plane of a rigid body on a symmetric elastic suspension. Computational methods for additional loading according to the similarity principle for dynamically scaled models of aircraft (two- and three-dimensional cases) and for restoring their mass–elastic characteristics on an elastic suspension (two- dimensional oscillations) based on the results of frequency tests are developed.
