Influence of the Synthesis-Gas Temperature on the Efficiency of a Membrane Gas Separator

ABSTRACT

The influence of temperature on the efficiency of a membrane apparatus in separation of the synthesis-gas in a gas-separating element with polymeric selectively permeable membranes is considered. The external diffusional and intramembrane resistances are taken into account and the prospects of the use of various membranes for separation of hydrogen from the synthesis gas have been assessed.
