Study of Internal Heat Transfer in a Non Uniform Porous Medium

ABSTRACT

A semiempirical model of heat transfer in nonuniform porous media based on the experimental investigation of internal heat transfer and hydrodynamics is presented. The mechanism of heat transfer in porous bodies is suggested that includes low-scale turbulent pulsations and the macromixing of a heat carrier in communicating pores. As a result of the experimental investigation and theoretical analysis, a dimensionless equation of heat transfer is derived for the motion of a single-phase cooler and the classification of the regimes of internal heat transfer in nonordered porous structures as a function of Reynolds number is suggested.
