Radiation Attenuation in a Medium with Arbitrary Fluctuations

ABSTRACT

The Poisson stochasticity model was used to comprehensively study the effect of fluctuations of the optical density of a medium on its mean transmittance. Fluctuation parameter ranges beyond the usually accepted restrictions were also studied.
