Three-dimensional Objects Recognition by Ultrasonic Echo-Signal

ABSTRACT

Three-dimensional recognition of an object and its spatial orientation by ultrasonic echo-signal processing is under consideration. The learning and recognition algorithms are based on a special construction of the eigen space and eigenvectors for every object. Then the recognition algorithm is reduced to the following stages: transformation of the echo-signal to the vector of attributes; construction the projection of the vector of attributes onto the eigen space; minimization of the distance between the vector of attributes and its projection.
