Analysis of the Acoustic Sounding Range with a Quasi-continuous Sounding Radio Signal

ABSTRACT

It is shown that replacement of a continuous sounding radio signal by a quasi-continuous signal is accompanied by a considerable energy gain in the radio acoustic atmospheric-sounding systems. The gain magnitude obtained from eliminating the transmitter signal influence on the receiving channel significantly exceeds the loss resulting from radiation discreteness introduction.
